Where Winter Does Not Equal Snow…
Big news in Hawaii this week: The Eddie went. Huh? The Eddie Aikau Big Wave Surfing Event , an invite-only competition, happens not so very often. In fact, it only happens when waves are in the 30+ range. And this week, they were. And then some. Oahu’s been swept up this week by the amazing awesomeness that is the North Shore. So while you may be freezing in the snow somewhere on the mainland, we’re enjoying this. I shouldn’t rub it in. But really, you should read more about this event that’s got an amazing back story to it, one of Hawaii’s legendary stories.
