Wedding Gifts with Island Charm, Literally
In the spirit of the gift-giving season, I give you more handmade gift ideas from the Aloha State. Perfect for Christmas, Bridemaids and Fiances, Kahili Creations whips up stylish, simple bling with an Island twist. Handmade on the Big Island, jewelry designer Marcia has always got nature in mind when designing necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Here’s Marcia in her own words: The inspiration for my jewelry line comes from my life on the Big Island of Hawaii. The riot of colors and sounds that greet me every morning starts my creative juices flowing. The flowers are more vibrant, the trees greener, the sky more blue, the water warmer, the air more fragrant. We have hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes galore and Kilauea has been churning lava my way. I am really one with the elements. With an annual rainfall totaling over 120 inches a year, I also need something to do during the downpours. Up top is her Pua Necklace and this is her Kai Kohala Lbradorite and Sterling Silver charm bracelet, perfect for beachy bridesmaids. Mother of Pearl earrings inspired by Heliconia Ginger. I’m a sucker for handmade gifts and I’m sure you are too, so head on over to Kahili Creations’ Etsy shop to view the entire collection… pacific bride guide The guide to planning your wedding in the Pacific
