Hi, I’m Alana and I’m doing work experience with DeRay Simcoe. The photographs I have taken were in Hyde Park and also along Brisbane Street . I am very interested in photography and doing work experience at DeRay Simcoe has given me an insight of what it would be like to be a photographer. I love looking at all of their photographs and learning from them. I am also interested in fashion photography and hope to be in that line of work when I am out of school.
Narelle and Andrew were married over the long weekend at St Hilda's Chapel in Mosman Park.? They then jumped on the Endless Summer, a friend's gorgeous boat with their bridal party for the trip to the reception at the Red Herring in Fremantle. Anita and I had a great day cruising on the boat and having fun with the bridal party. Enjoy the photos guys! Amber xx?
Meet baby Evangeline, the latest addition to the DeRay Simcoe family.? She was born on the 27th of Feb at 2:47pm. 3.428kg, 7lb 9oz, 49cm long.? There's been plenty of ups and downs in her short life but all is now well with mum and bubs, they expect to be home tomorrow.? I'm not sure if I'm biased but she's super cute for a newborn don't you think!? Congratulations Di and Rob, we're very proud of you. Amber and Anita xx
I was very excited to be asked to photograph my good friend Bree and her family recently.? I met Bree through our mum's group nearly three years ago and like most of the other mums, has two children now.? Aris and Rhea are just gorgeous and were very well behaved for the photos.? They had a great time playing on one of the big fig trees in the park. I think mum's group is definitely one of the best things about having a baby, we're still having a great time meeting up.? Rhea is the oldest in our group and turned three yesterday!? Happy Birthday Rhea. ?Love Amber xx
A week away from her due date, Diane is mostly taking it easy but she was spotted at the office earlier today for an hour or so. ?More to use the couch than do any work as Anita and I have everything under control. I've already lost the bet to when the baby is going to arrive, there's no prizes for guessing but feel free to leave some comments. ?I promise to post a photo of the baby as soon as I can after she arrives, I am getting very excited to meet her. Here's a shot
Today I want to talk about ‘cuoio’ . It is an Italian word with a specific meaning but a lot of people talk about ‘cuoio’ without to know what this meaning is. ‘Cuoio’ is not ‘leather’ . Leather is the skin of the animal , only the thin surface, cuoio refers only to the cow and to the complete leather of the animal: for this reason the tickness of cuoio is larger than the leather one. If you see ” vero cuoio ” written to an italian product this should only have the meaning of cuoio, but you can be sure that a lot of “made in italy” products are not made exactly in this way. Of course don’t worry, your album could be an high quality one even if it is made using a plastic material, but it is important not to be fascinated by the “vero cuoio” stamp because many times it could be a lie. Another talk is about ” cuoietto “, a compound material made by leather and plastics. From an esthetic point of view this kind of product could be even nicer than the made in cuoio one but pay attention to the price because modern technology is able to reproduce leather faithfully , so you should know that a made in cuoio album is sold in italy – to the married couple – not less than 300 euro. Of course you can spend even more for one album you like but don’t believe to somebody who sell a “vero cuoio” wedding album (35X35 cm) for 250 euro or less. It is a lie. A serious professional photographer in any case will help you to choose products from the catalouge of serious hand made album producer , he will not …
