Hi, I’m Alana and I’m doing work experience with DeRay Simcoe. The photographs I have taken were in Hyde Park and also along Brisbane Street . I am very interested in photography and doing work experience at DeRay Simcoe has given me an insight of what it would be like to be a photographer. I love looking at all of their photographs and learning from them. I am also interested in fashion photography and hope to be in that line of work when I am out of school.

Feast your eyes on the uniquely beautiful Claire Pettibone Cherry Blossom 2010 bridal gown collection. What I love about Claire Pettibone’s collection is that there’s always an element of cool edginess. A little bit vintage, a little bit modern, most definitely interesting. Like this creation called Geisha – soft ecru and pale pink cherry blossoms with kimono sleeves of cotton and velvet embroidered scroll motif. All that said, this one kinda misses the mark for me. These lovely images are from themed photo shoots by Korean-based Clara Wedding. Above: romantic wedding dresses from the collection “Brilliant Bride”; below from “A Famous Picture”. Okay, I’m not sure if these are the names of the bridal collection or the theme of the photo shoots. The setting below does look like a scene from a movie? This one is from the series “Dramatic Wedding Like a Movie Secret”. Yup. Adorable robin blue bows. Lovely setting and prop (love the paper umbrella) for Illusive Spring. A little quirky accessory to jazz up the old dress on the left — black knee high stocking? Hmm… Pretty Grecian dress on right. Would work just as well without the sleeves methinks. Oooh!
